PART TIME Health Benefits
MEDICAL & DENTAL BENEFITS
a. Part-time faculty who have worked two (2) out of the previous five (5) semesters with a .3 assignment or more are eligible for Los Rios health Benefits. Faculty with an assignment of .4 or greater pay the same as full-time faculty for health insurance benefits. Faculty with an assignment between .3 and .399 are eligible for 75% of the employer contribution for the health insurance benefit.
b. For part-time faculty who are currently ineligible for the full contribution of the Los Rios benefit or do not meet the other eligibility benefits can participate in the Multidistrict Health Insurance Reimbursement program. If you are eligible for this program, you can be reimbursed for the Los Rios proportionate share of your health insurance costs.

Joint District Medical Insurance & Other Benefits:
A program in conjunction with the Sierra Community College District whereby adjunct faculty who carry a load of at least .3 FTE in both districts can have their medical/dental insurance costs reduced to zero.
